It’s been a week of goodbyes, plus some hellos.
The 2026 cohort completed. The exams so close this year; GCSE (Friday), A level (Monday) and even Grade 8 Theory is on Saturday. I have spent some time reflecting on how lucky I am to have such wonderful students.

I don’t think I will start a Zoom Class for animals despite considering myself species inclusive and having some promising initial interest. This year the attendance of some family pets has been regular - 100% in fact. Well done Katje. Others more sporadic. Some definitely more interested than others. One or two totally unfocused and more interested in licking the screen, mentioning no names - Coco Leon. Others causing a distraction - tut tut Merri Busby and Eric Knighton. Then the lovely Rudolf Pocock, so talented, dedicated and hugely perceptive pointing out reindeers count and should not be excluded. Then how can I put it politely - Mowglie Mackenzie just trying to intimidate the group.

I will miss the class of 2026. You have been fabulous fun as well as hard working. I wish you all the best for the results days x

Thankfully I met two new lovely classes this week - the GCSE Music Fast Track Course 2027 Entry, a one year course for young musicians Grade 5+ standard on an instrument or voice.
